well sometimes you got to take a step back and look at what other people do.

I helped my mum and dad get into affiliate marketing - taught them the basics then gave them contacts in the industry.

I was already in it - big time, and had a lot of sites - around 80 (only 10 of which had any real content) but and always didnt belive in making sites for other people .... I had the skills, I could build for myself and make lots of money on my own sites.

However - I lost most of my sites when a naughty employee wouldnt give me copies of backups (he probably never took any) and my server went down.

Now I have a chance for a fresh start and see things a bit differently thanks to my dad. He was going out and getting small web builds - charging very little to build them, but was gradually building up a passive income on the hosting & management ... this didnt open my eyes until he had 15 sites on the go ....

Now I can see other advantages to building sites for other people - you get more ideas!! People ask for things different to what you normally do, so you end up having to learn new things ... its refreshing and exciting and here is my cheap web design page

Blogging is a very new thing for me - but I believe it will benefit myself and others to share what I know ... and what I do

I own and run a couple of websites http://www.leabeven.com and http://www.store.uk.com/catalog/index.php

In my spare time I develop sites for other people. I like to share what I have learned about making money both on and offline .....so here is a start.

OFFLINE
One of my biggest experiences of loosing money has been in off plan property .... I reserved about 100 all over the UK in 2002 and had problems with them untill end of October 2005 when I finally gave the last few back to the bank. There is much more information about this on my website.

One of the best ways I found of making money was to actually buy normal property that someone needed to sell fast, buying it way below the real market value .... and put it on the market normally for a realistic price. I have made lots of money doing this.

ONLINE
Online my biggest loses was my main website housemouseuk, it had an investor base of around 4000 people on the forum, and around 20,000 in other databases. I lost the site when a server went down and an employee ran off with the backups - lesson with this one - HAVE YOUR OWN BACKUPS - dont ever trust anyone else.

My biggest / fastest cash earner online was an email I sent out to the 4000 investors - and I made 15k in one hit! This was for a property deal in portugal.
